"Senese" is named after my grandfather, Giovanni Senese, a true Neapolitan who instilled in me, from a young age, the importance of a good coffee. I still remember how he was always on the lookout for the perfect place that could serve coffee just the way he liked it. One day, I asked him, "Grandpa, what makes a coffee good for you?" And with his wise smile, he replied: "A good coffee has a hazelnut aroma. It doesn’t matter if you add sugar or not, it’s never bitter and always creamy. And if you do add sugar, it should sink slowly. In the end, it leaves you with an aftertaste you wish could last forever." Those words stayed with me over time and inspired me to create something that wasn’t just coffee, but an emotion to share. That’s why I decided to bring to life a product that embodies that same feeling— a high-quality blend, timeless and elegant, defined by its texture, aroma, and unforgettable flavor. IFS Food assesses food products and manufacturing processes to ensure they meet recognised requirements for safety, authenticity, quality, legality and customer specifications. It also promotes traceability, transparency and continuous improvement throughout the production process.
ISO 9001 – Bureau Veritas Certification
ISO 9001 is an internationally recognised standard for quality management systems. Certification by Bureau Veritas confirms the adoption of structured and independently audited processes designed to maintain consistent quality, meet customer expectations and support continuous improvement.
BRCGS Global Standard for Food Safety
The BRCGS Global Standard for Food Safety is an internationally recognised certification covering food safety, product integrity, legality, quality and operational controls. It demonstrates the implementation of rigorous procedures throughout food manufacturing, processing and packaging.
UTZ Certified
UTZ certification recognised coffee produced through more sustainable and responsible farming practices, with attention to working conditions, farm management and environmental protection. The UTZ programme became part of Rainforest Alliance in 2018 and its certification label is now gradually being replaced by the Rainforest Alliance seal.
Accredia
Accredia is Italy’s sole national accreditation body appointed by the Italian Government. It verifies the competence, independence and impartiality of accredited certification and inspection bodies. The Accredia mark therefore supports the credibility of certifications issued under its accreditation.
